“Villa Dewata 1” is set in a quiet compound less than 100 meters from the main road in the center of Basangkasa, the area between Legian/ Seminyak and The Oberoi. Many interesting shops are right on the main road near the villa; it’s about 1km to the beach, and a few minutes by car bring you to an increasing number of trendy restaurants such as Ultimo, Metis, Ku de Ta, Hu’u, The Living Room, La Lucciola, Trattoria, Mykonos, Kuni’s, etc. The international airport is about 30 minutes away, and it’s about the same distance to the popular “Bali Nirvana Golf Course” and the famous Tanah Lot temple.

The Villa
This beautiful villa has an elegant simplistic design with a roof covered with wooden shingles. There are four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a large air-conditioned TV lounge and a spacious dining and living area perfect for entertaining guests. The adjacent open pantry is equipped with a toaster, gas cooker and refrigerator, and another stove and refrigerator as well as electric appliances such as a micro wave oven, steamer, blender, etc. can be found in the adjacent kitchen.

Large folding glass doors in the living/dining room open up on two sides to the garden with many tropical plants and the swimming pool, and ceiling fans provide additional ventilation if required. Furnishings include a dining table for 8 guests and comfortable sofas. Next to the swimming pool two spacious “Bales” (gazebos), one with comfortable sofas, and the other with large day beds.

Bedrooms
All four bedrooms are air-conditioned, and the two front bedrooms have windows and glass doors opening up to the garden and swimming pool. All bedrooms have king-size beds and an additional day bed. The en-suite bathrooms of the two bedrooms facing the swimming pool have sinks and soaking bath tubs large enough for two, the other two en-suite bathrooms have only a sink and showers.

Villa Puri Uma Dewi is constructed in a complete rectangular encircling a large tropical garden and private swimming pool, on all sides. A long covered walkway with wooden floors and handrails connect the separate pavilions and structures of the main building and guest compound. Gates open to the inner garden and pool areas, which are an excellent deterrent for families with small children. The main structure has a main fully equipped kitchen and spacious living area with an upper level built-in sofa with cushions for group entertaining, which is located next to another living area with sofas. Villa Casa Mateo prides itself on the superb in villa dining service provided by our House Cook. Choose from an extensive menu of both Eastern & Western delights. Our staff will visit the market after your food selection has been made and will purchase the food required.

We are pleased to provide you with our suggested Menu items for breakfast, luncheon and dinner for your selection. Should you have any special requests, please discuss with us and we will arrange if at all possible. Every effort will be made to accommodate your dining requests and special dietary needs. A selection of menus that our Cook is comfortable with preparing will be made available for you to review on a daily basis. For larger events we can also easily arrange for additional professional outside catering if needed.

A full complimentary breakfast is provided for each registered Guest. Prior to retiring at night, we ask that you advise us of your breakfast choice and the time that you require it to be served.

You may choose to shop for yourself or alternatively, you can ask the Cook to shop for you. All you need to do is prepare a list of food and drink, and the rest is done for you. Our staffs have been instructed to purchase only imported meats for our guests. Should you wish to eat local produce, please notify the Cook. You will be invoiced for the groceries of all non-complimentary food & beverage at the end of your stay but absolutely no mark-up from the shop prices. However, some special beverage items (as indicated) are attracting an additional charge.

Each day the friendly Balinese staff will cook a breakfast of fresh fruit, eggs, toast and coffee. Breakfast is prepared in the fully equipped kitchen found in each villa.

We advise when choosing a full set menu for your Luncheon or Dinner, only one selection can be made, for your group, from each of the Courses to a maximum of five courses. Unfortunately it is not possible to provide different selections for each course for each person.

We will very pleased to serve you for your in villa dining requirements, however, as we are a small team, advance notice is required for both luncheon and dinner. This will enable preparations including the purchasing of provisions.

Our Beverages
Drinking water, tea and coffee are provided with our compliments throughout the day. Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages will be invoiced at the end of your stay and while the alcoholic drink will be charge per bottle basis.

Whilst Indonesia is predominantly a Muslim society, Bali is Hindu. You may therefore drink alcohol freely in public without attracting attention. Wine is not as readily available in Bali as most countries, but you may like try to get some bottle for your personal consumption, we will glad to assist you to purchase as your selection based on our list from recommended wine shop. This has a reasonable range and relatively good prices.

Full Time Manager
Villa Casa Mateo Manager is responsible for the overall operation of Villa Casa Mateo including staffing, special requests and ensuring guest satisfaction. Guests can reach the manager 24 hours a day.

Villa Cook
Villa Casa Mateo Cook has developed a wonderful in-house menu of restaurant standard cuisine. The chefs are happy to accommodate any special dietary requirements or needs. Dinner parties and events can be catered to.

Villa Attendant
Villa Attendant are responsible for maintaining a high-standard of cleanliness and tidiness at Villa Casa Mateo- Bali. They are also on hand to aid the Chefs in the preparation and serving of guest meals.

Chauffeur
The chauffeur is on standby for guests up to eight consecutive hours every day. Additional vehicles and drivers can be arranged if necessary – please let us know of any specific requirements in your booking request.

Security
The Villa guarded by 24-hours Security, and the property features its own main entrance, a private swimming pool, and sundeck.

Our staff will be on hand to ensure all your holiday requirements are taken care of. For food and beverage items other than the complimentary breakfast (and water, coffee and tea throughout the day), guests will be presented with a cash bill towards the end of their stay. Our staff will be happy to run errands for you and to purchase items from the local delicatessens and supermarkets on your behalf. Please give the chef as much notice as possible if you wish to have special meals prepared, so that he has time for the necessary shopping. Whilst it is entirely at your discretion, if you wish to show your appreciation of the villa staff.

There are four large bedrooms; three king-sized doubles and one twin, which can be used as a study/TV room or as a bedroom.

Each has an attached bathroom offering guests the choice of bathing indoors or showering under the stars in true Bali style. The bedrooms overlook the large pool and lush tropical gardens. All bedrooms have telephones and individually controlled air conditioning, as well as cable TV (40 international channels including HBO and Star Movies), a music system for CDs/cassttes/radio, and a DVD/VCD player. Prominent features of the house are its large open-air living room opening on the pool deck, providing an easy transition from indoors to out. Its large freeform swimming pool has an eye-catching shape, emphasizing and reinforcing the minimalist features of the villa. The decor is funky yet stylish, pulling a mix of elements together into a modern and youthful combination.

The two buildings feature a mix of stone, wood and marble flooring. High ceilings grace all the rooms with the focus of the complex being inwards toward the swimming pool. All the bedrooms feature air-conditioning, with fans decorating the ceilings within the open-air areas. A bathtub large enough for more than two looking out onto is own private garden is the focal point of the master bedroom.
