Bedrooms
Villa LeGa has five en suite bedrooms in total, all boasting massive 2mx2m king sized beds with mosquito nets, cable television and DVD player, sound systems, international telephone lines, writing desks and chairs, Balinese artwork and modern, glamorous decor touches.

Furnished using mixed media, the combination of dark wood, light wicker, crisp white linen and sparkling accents in the form of cushions and throws in different colours – red, black, bronze, gold and pink-tinged green – in each, the bedrooms are spacious and simple chic in style.

Two large, identical bedrooms downstairs lead onto the wooden deck surrounding the swimming pool. Both have a dressing room and open-air en suite bathroom with double basin, rain shower and bath. A third, smaller, en suite bedroom can be found upstairs immediately to the left of the stairs. Furnished in identical style, but in golden accents, to the rest of the bedrooms, this room is no less charming for its smaller size – indeed, it is the perfect bedroom for a child, right next door to one of the two master bedrooms upstairs.

Which leads us to the two master bedrooms. The first, right next door to the third smaller bedroom and straight ahead at the top of the stairs, is situated above the downstairs living area, overlooking the pool below and the sea beyond. This room boasts a massive dressing room, as well as a large open-air bathroom including basin, bath and rain shower – a rain shower with a secret sweeping sea and Seminyak view! The room, which features pinkish green/bronze accents, also has a small sitting area complete with two comfortable chairs in front of the TV. Double glass doors slide open and lead you onto a private wooden deck overlooking the pool and ocean.

Turn right when you reach the top of the stairs, and the wraparound wooden deck will lead you to the second master bedroom. And this is the bedroom to draw straws for. With two sets of double glass sliding doors – one leading onto the deck looking over the pool and the other onto the front deck and lounge area overlooking the ocean – this room is guaranteed to make the most of those cooling sea breezes. A smaller dressing room leaves extra space for this large bedroom, while the outdoors bathroom boasts both rain shower and bath. The winning feature of this room is, undoubtedly, the front deck. Step out of the front set of sliding doors into paradise – complete with bar area, sundowner lounge area and views over the ocean to the other side of the world.

Ensuite bathrooms
Each open-air en suite bathroom in Villa LeGa comes complete with its own separate dressing area boasting large amounts of cupboard space. The two downstairs bathrooms both feature double basins, rain showers and baths.

Upstairs, the bathroom off the smaller bedroom boasts a single basin and rain shower. The master bedroom next to this undoubtedly has the most noteworthy bathroom. Watch the waves crashing onto the Seminyak shore while you indulge in a rain shower or sink into the luxury of the raised bath while listening to the soothing sounds of the sea. Even the large dressing area off this bathroom can boast a sea view! Finally, the bathroom off the second master bedroom may not have the sea view of its partner, but it too comes complete with rain shower, bath and single basin.

All bathrooms use the same mixed media approach to decor, with modern glass, tap fittings and tiling complimented by teak additions and traditional Balinese art accents.

Living Area & Swimming Pool
The breezy open air, and open plan living, dining and kitchen area downstairs, which allows the outdoors in courtesy of sets of sliding glass doors on two sides, opens onto the wooden deck surrounding the pool.

Furnished using the same mixed media approach as the rest of the house, exquisitely carved teak forms the base of the coffee and dining tables, which are then topped by glass. Dark wood mixes with lighter wood, which, in turn, mixes with the even lighter wicker furniture that makes up the seating area. A large couch set looks out onto the pool, with cream cushions allowing for the type of comfortable seating every living area should have.

Another carved teak and glass table forms a unique lighting feature in one corner, with bulbs placed inside the wooden base beneath the glass. Other Balinese carving, lighting and art accents add to the overall ambience, while a water feature to the left of the sitting area gurgles away, adding to the soothing sounds of the ocean.

The 12-metre swimming pool out front, with its wooden deck, eight all-weather white loungers and double daybed furnished in bright red cushions, dominates the rest of the space at Villa LeGa – which is as it should be for any holiday home. An outdoor shower right next to the pool ensures sandy feet don’t mar the gleaming blue, while yet another water feature adds to the overall soothing effect water has.

Dining Area
To the right of the seating area lies the aforementioned carved teak and glass dining table, with high backed chairs, able to seat up to eight adults. Kitchen
The kitchen at Villa LeGa makes use of the convivial ‘open-plan’ approach so often adopted in easy living these days. Special attention was paid to making sure Villa Aliya is ‘kids friendly’ while at the same time allowing parents a maximum of privacy. The pool area was designed to have no ‘dead corners’ and non-slipping finishes such as roughened granite floors and wooden patios around the pool provide additional safety.

Resin lamps used throughout much of the house not only provide a lovely warm light, but are safer than traditional glass lamps when it comes to being blown over by the wind or by children.

An environmentally friendly solar system provides hot water throughout the property, gray water from the house is recycled for use in the garden, and the pool is based on an ionized system that is not only good to the environment with its reduced need for chlorine but is great for your skin too.

Villa Aliya even has its own personally designed spa products, with a fresh and nurturing fragrance combining lemongrass, ginger and cucumber for Villa Aliya handwash and bodywash. Living room
A striking eye-catcher in the living room is the living back wall filled with ferns, stag horns and orchids.

This is a clever re-interpretation of an old Dutch room design where air slits close to the ceiling facilitate air flow through the room. The living wall provides a colourful green backdrop for comfortable oversized white Sunbrella sofas decorated with Ralph Lauren cushions in blue and white, and a beautiful McGuire rattan set. Old Balinese wooden house columns were converted into decorative standing lamps. The living room opens up to the pool and has a view of the dining pavilion on the other side.

Office
A separate room at the back was set up as a small office with a computer and printer and a high speed internet connection to make sure that you can stay in touch with the world if you want to. However wireless Internet is available throughout the premises should you wish to keep in touch on your laptop.

Kitchen
The large friendly kitchen continues the blue and white colour scheme created for the downstairs living areas in a modern interpretation of old Dutch colonial style, with replicas of old tiles adding the finishing touch.

Every cook will enjoy the well thought out layout and the state of the art appliances, including a generously sized fridge and a wine cooler.

Bedrooms
Villa Aliya has 4 air-conditioned bedrooms. The villa was designed so that two couples can comfortably share it at the same time; the two master bedrooms are both on the ground level and are of a similar general setup with generous en-suite bathrooms.

Each bedroom features Bose ipod speakers, a 32-inch flat screen TV, ceiling fans and generous wooden wardrobes or walking wardrobes with safety deposit boxes and plenty of storage space.

The first master bedroom has a view of the pool, a large water feature and the garden beyond. The centre of the room is a romantic antique four-poster king-sized bed wrapped in voile. The bedroom also includes a small desk area and a daybed.

The second master bedroom features an antique Javanese bed made of carved old teak wood that was turned into a tasteful headpiece for the king-sized bed. A reading area with a pair of old Javanese wicker chairs complete the room. The room is located on the other side of the living area and the pool from the first master bedroom to maximize privacy.

The third bedroom is located upstairs and has two striking queen sized single beds made of old carved Madura benches. French doors lining the entire length of the room open onto a private balcony with a view of the pool, the landscaped gardens beyond and the outside dining area.

Entertainment Room / Fourth Bedroom
The fourth bedroom is a large lounge space that serves as an entertainment room during the day, with lots of colourful Jim Thompson cushions and mattresses for casual lounging and afternoon naps. The latest 50-inch flat screen TV and a Bose sound system provide high quality entertainment. A card table is also available for more hands-on fun.

Trundle beds built into the lounge area allow the room to be converted into a bedroom within moments; thereby making it especially suited for children. This room was conceived to provide children with their own safe, fun space – giving their parents a chance to relax on their holiday as well.

Bathrooms
All bathrooms were designed in a tasteful ‘beachy’ theme contrasting cream coloured granite with antique woods.

Bathrooms all feature two sinks, and the en-suite bathrooms to the 3 main bedrooms have large eggshell bathtubs in addition to open air showers. Antique Jepara wooden carvings from Java were used to create striking mirror frames.

The bathroom furniture was made from old recycled teak, thereby not only using beautifully aged hardwood but continuing the environmentally friendly theme of Villa Aliya.

Upstairs Lounge / Bar Area
Open on three sides to wonderful views of landscaped gardens and traditional Balinese thatched roofs, the upstairs Bar area almost always catches a breeze from the ocean.

Colourful prints of old drink advertisements decorate the back of the bar area, while comfortable sea grass bar stools invite hanging out at the bar.

Large day beds covered in bright Sunbrella and Tommy Bahama materials provide additional comfortable spaces to lounge. Beautifully hand crafted rattan fans hand enhance the feeling of tropical living.

Dining Areas
Villa Aliya has two dining areas. The first is a breakfast area made of large wooden benches and a solid table set between the kitchen and the living room. Colourful cushions and specially commissioned modern art completes this space’s fun and casual look.

The second dining space is located in a separate Balinese pavilion or Bale across the pool with 10 comfortable rattan chairs and a large wooden table. Old Balinese house columns were turned into tasteful standing lamps, and a Bose system provides discreet musical ambience. This area has a view of the pool, the main house and the garden.

Garden and Pool
At the centre of the grounds and thereby the house lies a large ionized lap pool of 14 x 4meters with a waterfall feature at the end.

Location
“Villa Dewata II“  is set in a quiet compound less than 100 meters from the main road in the center of Basangkasa, the area between Legian/ Seminyak and The Oberoi Hotel. The international airport is about 20 minutes away, and it’s about the same distance to the popular “Bali Nirvana Golf Course” and the famous Tanah Lot temple.

Many interesting shops are right on the main road near the villa; it’s about 1km to the beach, and a few minutes by car bring you to an increasing number of fashionable restaurants including Ultimo, Metis, Ku de Ta, Hu’u, The Living Room, La Lucciola, Trattoria, Mykonos, etc.

The Villa
This large villa has an elegant simplistic design with a roof covered with wooden shingles. Living/dining areas and all bedrooms are decorated with beautiful artifacts and original paintings.

There are five bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, an air-conditioned TV & games room, a traditional thatched pavilion near the swimming pool, and a spacious dining and living area perfect for entertaining guests. The adjacent open kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and electric appliances such as a large refrigerator, micro wave oven, steamer, toaster, etc.

Large folding glass doors in the living/dining room open up to the garden and 20 meter (60 ft.) swimming pool, and ceiling fans provide steady ventilation. Furnishings include a dining table for up to 10 guests and comfortable sofas. Next to the swimming pool is the Balinese Bale (gazebo) complete with large cushions.

Bedrooms
